Mentoring and Support The Rochester City School District offers a side-by-side mentoring and training program for its teachers called Careers in Teaching. Through this program first year teachers attend an orientation session and are assigned a mentor in their school by the principal, as well as having access to a web-based information system. Teachers may also participate and benefit from various professional development opportunities offered through the District so that they may excel as an outstanding leader within our community.
